Development stopped

Most of you will most likely have suspected it (and I should have announced this a lot earlier):

I have stopped all development of HeroLineWars RoC. Clan HLWc has disbanded and I rarely play Warcraft 3 anymore.

If someone should be interested in continuing the map, he can ask me for the unprotected map (preferably via e-mail). I will give the map to everyone, who asks for it ;)

I have moved to the Starcraft 2 editor and am currently developing a HLW-Style map for Starcraft 2.

Everyone, who likes HLW and plays SC2, feel free to visit my current project workplace at SC2Mapster.

The map is currently in public beta phase, available on Europe, NA and SEA servers, called "HeroLineWars".

Thanks for all your support, it was really fun.

This make me realy sad HLW was one of the best maps for wc3 but i think if there is a great HLW map for Starcraft II this will compensate for evrything.

my english is very very bad but i hope that this is a joke, every game i jonied HLW i knew, that the map is no cheating Map for red, but now everybody can host his own version this will be a chaos...

First I want to say Thank You to Kueken, who brought together with froggy this amazing map to wc3.

And another Thank you that he sent the unprotected map to me. I took some notes over the time about mini bugs and unbalanced things. Maybe I can make a new version of HLW.
And to andy(and the others), its always dangerous to release a map without protection.
But in the chase of HLW the unprotected file is very big and has a huge loading time.
To make a HLW map which is playable like the versions which made by kueken you need some Know-How about mapping and I think the people who have these know how would never(I hope so) implement cheats in the map.

So if you find a map which causes problems if you want to host it(long loading and waiting time - Mapsize 4MB). Be careful.

Anyway you should only DL and play official maps(download here).

i just joined this site, but i did it to ask if u wanted help on the map... and then i saw that you stopped with it.. i love map editing, i dont have your email. my grammar is bad, but i have a lot of ideas for heros, and i was hoping for the unprotected copy of the map. i will not add cheats of any sort. me and my buddy would really appreciate the map..i would be glad to work with anybody on the map. i also have starcraft 2. but i play warcraft 3 more.
i'm on everyday. my username is Darkangel_9 or Demonknight17 (im in 2 diff clans so i have 2 accounts) darkangel_9 is my primary. and if you would like i could help with starcraft stuff. but my computer is real laggy on starcraft. its not built to run it.

Well, I don't want to destroy the map as it is. I just want to give people the opportunity to improve it. If you don't like other people's versions, don't play them. You can just stick to the last official version.

As stated, I will give the map to everyone, who asks for it, but noone can change already existing maps, whenever a change was made, people need to download this changed map and if they don't like the changes made, they simply don't play the map. I do not see a big problem with this.
However if someone happens to make great changes which improve the map, it will be played by other people and spread out. Fine with me ;)

Maximum map size was raised to 8 MB recently, also to reduce the loading time, I use 2 programs you can search for: PitzerMike's Widgetizer and Vexorian's Map Optimizer. They also offer the protection.

No need to re-check with me. I will send you the map. Just like said, if your changes improve the map, it will be played ;)

I am quiet sad to hear this but i will be willing to do as much as i can to keep HLWRoc going it is my favourite game if you want i can even help you with making it in starcraft 2 so if you want you can reply and possibly send them to me :), in my beleif you probably shoudlnt be sending it out to everyone because ppl will make cheat players and rigged heroes , i am not one of those people! :)

Well, cheated and rigged versions are a possibility, but people disliking this kind of stuff would simply not play the map, but stick to other versions.

I will gladly send you the map, if you give me an e-mail adress (via PM would be preferable).
